The previous evening, the fourteenth version of the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) was held. Because of the national lockdown as of now set up in the midst of the coronavirus flare-up, the champs were declared on Twitter. This was the first run through the entertainment pageant occurred practically and was facilitated by entertainer and reality star, Dineo Ranaka. Among the champs were creation house Tshedza Pictures which left with an incredible 17 honors while the full length film Knuckle City brought home 6 successes.

The honor for “Best Film” went to Fiela se Kind while Buddha in Africa won “Best Documentary Feature”.
Talking about the current year’s victors, CEO of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), Makhosazana Khanyile, stated, “It is an extraordinarily mixed second to salute all the SAFTAs 14 champs while they couldn’t encounter a full festival of their difficult work.” Khanyile included that, “We thank the business for understanding and supporting the NFVF in the troublesome choices that must be made during this emergency, and the NFVF is completely dedicated to guaranteeing that the business gets as much help as it needs during a period where occupations are intensely affected.”
